Turning One

*Disclaimer: I received free product for this post in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opions are my own.
My baby boy turned one on March 16!  In lieu of a party, we hosted a family get-together on the Friday before his big day. There was dinner, cake, and a DIY photo booth for some picture taking fun! I wanted this party to be all about making memories and it really was!

Felt Flower Garland

Spring always gets me in the mood to craft! That is why I was so excited when Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores contacted me to do a craft using one or more of the spring trends--floral, geometric, radiant orchid, and nautical. I've already shared a floral craft and got the kids involved with a geometric craft, but I have been so inspired to create that I decided to make something else.  Lydia Grace loves this creation because it's going in her room. It's a felt flower garland with pops of radiant orchid, teal, and raspberry.
The internet and Pinterest are filled with inspiration for felt flower garlands. Here's how I made mine...

A Day at the Park

Sometimes there are no words to share...
Just moments.
Moments that bring you so much joy!
Moments that make your heart hurt a little because you realize how quickly time is passing.

I often find myself wishing I could freeze time...
All I can do though is watch, enjoy, love, cherish, and remember.

And I want to always remember them just like this...
Happy memories!

Gymnastics Birthday Party

Disclaimer: I received some of the products from this post in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Lydia Grace turned five last weekend! FIVE is a big deal! It has especially been a BIG deal to my sweet girl who has now been ending many of her sentences with, "because I'm five now."

"I can open that for you because I'm five now."
"I get to do kindergarten because I'm five now."
"I can be a Girl Scout because I'm five now."
"I can stay up late because I'm five now."

Side note: Yes, sweet girl, you can start school in the fall, be a girl scout, and even...stay up later. You now get to stay up a whole 30 minutes later. I'm not sure that is what you had in mind when you said you could stay up late though.

For her fifth birthday party (sixth if you count the 0th birthday party my sister threw for her on the day she was born), she wanted to have a party at The Little Gym where she has taken dance and gymnastics for years. Here are some snapshots of her special day...

Disclaimer: I received the stickers from this post in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions and ideas are my own.
Yesterday I shared the party favors and favor tags for Lydia Grace's gymnastics themed birthday party.  Today I have a simple tutorial for making cupcake toppers!  I used the same customized gift tag stickers from Tiny Prints that were used for the tags, but any sticker can be turned into a cute cupcake topper. Here's how...
