Ornament Christmas Cards

Disclaimer: I received free product for this post in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! I'm so excited about our Christmas cards this year. They are ornament cards from Tiny Prints featuring one of our family photos taken by Brianna Leigh Photography. The neatest thing about these cards is that they pull double-duty as festive pieces of holiday mail and keepsake ornaments.

Christmas Pie Crust Cookies

I love to get creative in the kitchen. I'm a throw in a little of this and a smidgen of that type of cook. When I do have a recipe to go by, I usually veer off course and give it my own spin. I sew like I cook and bake and usually just make it up as I go along. Sometimes it turns out great and sometimes it...umm...becomes a learning experience. {wink, wink}

The newest kitchen creation that the kids and me whipped up turned out delicious! Homemade raspberry jam sandwiched between moist pie crust cutouts. If you love fruit-filled pies then you'll love these not too sweet cookies that are reminiscent of raspberry tarts.

Christmas Craft for Kids: Embossed Nutcracker Ornament

Making ornaments with the kids has become a tradition in our home. And I've saved them all. Each year, the kids add their handmade ornaments from past and present years to a tree in each of their rooms.

As part of a collaboration with with dozens of other bloggers, one of this year's handmade ornaments was inspired by a book. Lydia Grace has been fascinated with The Nutcracker since seeing the Isabelle movie from American Girl. My little dancer picked out her own nutcracker at the store one day and begged to watch a recorded presentation of the ballet. Her enthusiasm for this classic was the inspiration behind selecting a copy of The Nutcracker by Susan Jeffers and designing an ornament with this iconic, holiday figurine.

Below you'll find directions for making our Embossed Nutcracker Ornaments, as well as, links to 70+ other kid-made ornaments. Grab your craft supplies, call your kiddo, and dive into some holiday crafting with us!

Holiday Style with Fabkids

I don't think there could be a more perfect holiday dress for my sweet girl than this one from FabKids. Her favorite color has always been blue. Check! My little dancer loves tulle and sparkles! Check! She told me that wearing this dress makes her feel like Elsa from Frozen. And a great big check!
