Subscription Addiction Week: Citrus Lane Review

Have you heard of Citrus Lane?  This is certainly Eli's favorite subscription!

Here's how it works:
1. Sign-up by choosing your subscription option and putting in your little one's age and gender.  (I put in information for Eli since the boxes are geared for children who are newborn to 5 years old and he falls roughly in the middle of that range.)
2. Receive a care package with great products selected for your child.

Snacks, books, puzzles, and care items have all come in our boxes.  Here was the box for last month...

Hape City Planner Blocks
Value: $9.99
Eli loves to build, so these were perfect for his busy, little hands.

Babytime!  Playful Wash
Value: $4.00
This is an organic bath product with a subtle citrus scent.  It seemed to be very gentle on his skin and worked into a good lather.  Eli liked it especially since he is always a BIG fan of bath time.

Happy Tot Super Toddler Bar--Mixed Berry Crunch
Value: $1.50
Eli is starting to reach the picky toddler stage where is becoming very vocal about what he does and doesn't like.  This he loved.  He ate the whole thing!

Julep Nail Polish
Value: $14
It was a lovely thought on the part of Citrus Lane to include something special for mom, but I personally was not a fan of this purple color.  I'm a red/pink sort of gal when it comes to nail polish.

ABCs by Charley Harper
Value: $8.49-$10 (depending on where you buy it)
This colorful book is certainly age appropriate and the animals make it of high interest to a toddler.  Initially Eli was too preoccupied with his new blocks to pay much attention to the book.  Later on he brought it to me and curled up in my lap for story time.  He is going to be my avid reader.

The rundown...
Cost: $21-$25 depending on the subscription option you choose

Pros: The boxes give you a lot of "bang for your buck".  The products are high quality and developmentally appropriate for the age of your child.  Eli loves to open his box each month, and it has been fun for me too!  My favorite product has been a snack tower with three compartments--an item that is perfect when out and about with three kiddos.  This isn't a product I have seen in local stores, so I like that the things coming in the boxes are introducing me to new products.
Cons: They don't have the option to select a range of ages if you have more than one child.  You are required to put in the age and gender of just one of your children.  In order to receive products geared towards Lydia Grace or Caleb, I would have to sign-up for a separate subscription.  They do not offer add-on options for siblings or sibling discounts.  Despite this, I have been very pleased with the boxes and plan on continuing my subscription.  Eli will certainly be happy to know that!

Happy subscribing!
