Printable: Back to School BINGO Checklist

That time of year has come again! It's time to start planning and preparing for the kids to go back to school. Even as a homeschool family there's so much for us to do to get ready. As most of you know who have followed along for awhile, I left being a public school teacher behind to care for and teach my own children. We are our own little class, and I'm in the midst of making preparations for another school year of taking on the role of both mom and teacher. There's a ton on the to do list, but at least I have some of the snacks taken care of. And we've come up with a fun way to get the rest of the tasks completed with this Printable Back To School Bingo Checklist.
Back to School Time!
Truth be told, the start of a new school year causes both a sense of dread and excitement for me. The lazy, care-free days of summer always seem so fleeting. There are days when I never want the magic of summer to end. The beginning of another school year comes bursting in shiny and new, though. It’s brimming with fresh adventures and opportunities. Time marches on and here we are!

Maybe it's the teacher in me, but one of my favorite things to do at the beginning of a new school year is to shop for “back to school" supplies. A brand new box of crayons, new books, and freshly sharpened pencils make me a little bit giddy. Anyone else?

Not all of the preparations have me as excited, though. Being a parent is a full-time job in itself. When you add in all the tasks that come with getting the kids ready to start another school year, the pressures and stress can add up quickly...
New shoes to buy! Organize our homeschool room! Get ready for co-op classes! Get back on a routine! Sign-up the kids up for enrichment and extracurricular activities! Get organized!

Shew! I'm tired just thinking about it all. We're pacing it out, though, and turning our preparations into a game with this fun Back to School Bingo Printable. It's tacked up on the refrigerator, and we are working our way to five in a row and eventually a BINGO Blackout!
Snack Break!
Despite the word home in homeschool, we are on-the-go most days. Mondays are for co-op classes. There are science enrichment classes at our local zoo on Tuesdays. Dance for my daughter will be on Mondays and Thursdays. And then there are soccer practices, soccer games, and other things on the schedule for my boys.

With all of these activities, it helps to be prepared with plenty of tasty snacks. For that reason, I've already stocked up on Goldfish® crackers. The multi-packs are especially convenient and portable for those on-to-go moments. Snacks shouldn't be something to stress about, and Goldfish® Snacks are helping me to cross that item off the list.
Make Back to School Preparations Fun!
How are we accomplishing the rest of the things on the list? We're making the back to school season more manageable and fun with this Back to School Bingo Checklist! It includes two dozen tasks that will get the school year off to a rockin' start. And that is certainly something to smile about!
