Caramel Candy Recipe

Rich, sugary sweet caramel has long been a favorite of mine. I love it drizzled on ice cream, incorporated into desserts, and even by itself. If you love caramel as much as I do, you're going to adore these soft caramel candies.

You are also going to love how easy they are to prepare. Forget the candy thermometer and oven. There's no need for them with this recipe. All you need are a few ingredients, supplies, and mere minutes.

Wrapped and packaged, these caramel candies make a scrumptious gift--if they last that long. Ours didn't last more than a day with my family savoring every sugary, sweet bite. That's alright! It's gives me an excuse to make more here at the holidays.

Ready to try this homemade caramel candy recipe for yourself? Keep reading...

Tis' the season for Fabkids

Just when I thought Lydia Grace couldn't get any cuter in her FabKids outfits, she got this one in the mail! Excuse me while I gush with excitement over it! She loves picking out a new outfit each month from clothes suggested just for her. FabKids has a style quiz, and monthly outfits are recommended that fit your child's style and personality based on that quiz. It's fabulous! Don't take it from me though. I'll let her tell you...

Yarn Pom Pom Snowman and Snow Woman

Do you want to build a snowman...or snow lady? (Sorry. I just couldn't help myself.) How about one out of yarn pom poms? These cute little yarn snow people are so fun and easy to make.

My kids wanted to keep theirs out to play with, but they could easily be transformed into ornaments with a loop of ribbon attached to the top. What would you do with yours? Keep reading for full instructions on making your own.

DIY Wood Slice Ornament

Making ornaments with the kids has become one of our favorite holiday traditions. Each year the main Christmas tree gets put out in the living room and two smaller trees are placed in the kids' rooms for them to hang their own special ornaments. It's the perfect way for them to save and display their handcrafted creations year after year.
We've already added to our collection of kid-made ornaments this year with these birch wood slice ornaments. The inspiration came from one of our favorite winter stories--Old Bear and His Cub. It's the endearing tale of the love between an old bear and his little cub. The rustic wood slices and the lumbering bear stamp seemed like the perfect makings of a fun craft to accompany the story. This ornament idea is so simple and easy to make! You're going to love it! Ready to give it a try? Be sure to grab plenty of supplies. You may want to have the kids make a few extras to gift to others this holiday season!
