Timeless Desserts to Make This Fall & Weekly Link Party

Finally! The weather this week has felt like fall. The humid Southern heat has moved over to make way for the blustery coolness of the season. The leaves have felt it too because I saw many cascading from the trees yesterday.

Fall always puts me in a mood to bake! As the temperatures and the leaves begin to drop, I like to keep the kitchen--the heart of our home--warm by firing up the oven. Anyone else? Recipes steeped in tradition and filled with memories are always my favorites! Below you'll find several timeless desserts to make this autumn. There's pie, dessert squares, cookies, and more! The best part? Sharing these classic treats with family and friends and the memories you'll make in the sharing.
1. Cherry Pie Recipe / Crafting A Family
There is something so satisfying about baking a pie. Bonus points if you make the dough from scratch like this lovely blogger! Does it get any better than a warm pie baking in the oven on a crisp, cool afternoon? And this one looks ah-mazing!

2. Peanut Butter Squares / Simply Stacie
Peanut butter and chocolate are always a winning combination! Enjoy them in this simply scrumptious recipe that surprisingly only calls for five ingredients.

3. Snickerdoodles / The Country Chic Cottage
Buttercream frosting and snickerdoodle cookies--two classics--come together to form an irresistible dessert. I know I wouldn't be able to stop at just eating one!

4. Shoofly Cake / Turtles & Tails
This Pennsylvania Dutch dessert has a long history behind it. Enjoy Barb's modern rendition of a timeless treat!

5. Carrot Loaf / Simply Stacie
Filled with fall spices this sweet loaf is one that I can't wait to try! It's like the homemade bread version of a warm carrot cake. Yum!

6. Peanut Butter Pinwheels / The Life of Jennifer Dawn
This sugary sweet confection is a time-honored recipe dating back through multiple generations. Unique variations of the recipe have evolved through the years. Here is how my mother and her grandmother before her prepared this homemade candy.

Candy Corn Popsicles

Affiliate links are present to help guide you to the products I used to make these candy corn popsicle treats.

Fruit juice and yogurt become a seasonal treat with these popsicles inspired by a fall favorite--CANDY CORN. These frozen pops serve as a nutritious alternative to the sugary candy while still being just as much FUN!
"Oh, mommy! They look just like candy corn."
"They really do, momma! They're like candy corn."
"And they are really good!"

There you have it! The proof is in the pudding. Or the yogurt in this case. My kids were absolutely delighted with these tasty, colorful treats!

In the midst of all the candies that are readily available during this time of year, it's refreshing for the whole family to indulge in a sweet treat that's on the healthier side. These candy corn popsicles are just as fun as the candies that inspired them, but they're a treat I can feel good about giving my kids. Don't get me wrong. The kids and I have still been enjoying a little of the real candy corn, but this is a fun and healthy alternative. It's all about balance. Right?!

Candy Corn Treats & Weekly Link Party

Bags of candy corn don't last long in our house. Little hands grab the sugary sweet candies as quick as they can. And I have to admit that I also enjoy indulging in a handful...or two (no judgment here). They bring back so many sweet childhood memories.

If your family's like ours and just can't get enough of fall's favorite candy, you're going to love these scrumptious ideas! Enjoy these delicious treats all inspired by--you guessed it--CANDY CORN!
1. Autumn Mix Cookies / Mrs. Kringle's Kitchen
Aren't these fantastic?! They're sugar cookies inspired by a bag of Autumn Mix candy with pumpkins, candy corn, and Indian corn.

2. Candy Corn Cheesecake / Lolly Jane
There they are! Those layers of yellow, orange, and white that are synonymous with candy corn. Except for this delicious treat the layers are a creamy batch of cheesecake topped with whipped cream. Yum!

3. Candy Corn Hot Chocolate Stirrers / Momma D Jane
These hot chocolate stir sticks are the perfect treat to enjoy with a steamy mug of hot cocoa on a crisp, cool fall evening. Click on over to see how fun and simple they are to make!

AND Candy Corn Popsicles / The Life of Jennifer Dawn (right here!)
Here is a frozen treat inspired by the colorful candy. It's a healthy alternative but just as fun to eat!

Pumpkin Patch Candy Bark

Fall is here and pumpkins abound! Celebrate the season of pumpkins, gourds, and fallen leaves with this super simple and sweet candy treat. Pumpkin Patch Candy Bark is the perfect confection for a fall gathering or just a yummy treat for the kids to enjoy making and eating this season!
One of my kids' favorite fall outings is a visit to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins. We do this every year. The pumpkins are used for decoration and a few are even carved as it gets closer to Halloween. Does your family have any favorite fall traditions?
