Peeps Paint Chip Puzzles

Every spring Peeps hit the grocery store shelves and inspire all manner of crafts and recipes. They were even the inspiration behind this simple puzzle craft I did for the kids and shared on Pint-Sized Treasures.

I tried Peeps for the first time the other day. Can you believe that's it's taken me this long to try them? The kids loved them, so I thought it would be fun to make a little activity for them centered around what their new favorite candy. I love creating things from items I already have stashed away in the craft closet, so the idea of using paint chips came to mind since they are just as colorful as Peeps. Here are our Peeps Paint Chip Puzzles!
Since every puzzle needs a box for storage, I tucked all the pieces of this puzzle into a Kraft pillow box and tied it with twine.

Happy crafting!

Rocksbox Review

Raise your hand if you love jewelry! My hand is up, but I have to admit that ever since becoming a mom, I don't wear it quite as much. This subscription rekindled that love though. It also reminded me that even us busy stay at home moms deserve a little something sparkly every now and then. Opening up my ROCKSBOX felt like such a treat! Ready to see what was inside?

Birchbox Review

Birchbox has remained one of my favorite subscription boxes for years. My skin care and make-up regime usually consists of a cleanser, moisturizer, light foundation, blush or bronzer on the cheeks, mascara, and a little lipstick or gloss. I keep things simple and natural. Ever since subscribing to Birchbox, I've not had to purchase any other make-up. Yes, you read that right. My Birchbox subscription has been able to cover all of my skin care and make-up wants. (Notice I said wants instead of needs. That's because, ladies, we are beautiful without a shred of make-up on our faces. Beauty products sure are a lot of fun to play around with though!) With Birchbox I don't make any beauty purchases at drugstores or department stores, here's why...

Junior Explorers Review

Lydia Grace loves to pretend that she is going on adventures. It's so cute to hear her say, "I'm a brave abenturer!" There have been fossil digs, mysteries to solve, travels to faraway places, and more with that wonderful imagination of hers! When I first heard about Junior Explorers, it seemed like the perfect thing for my little explorer to try.

Subscription Review Round-up

Despite the shift to e-mail, instant sharing, and social media, I believe that most people still love to receive mail. You know? A physical piece of mail--envelope or package--that shows up in your actual mail box. Packages are the best, aren't they? Even if it's something that I've ordered, it's such a treat when the parcel finally arrives.

It's that love of mail that has made subscription companies so popular. That and the element of surprise they bring. There used to be only a handful of these companies, but now you can subscribe to everything from craft kits to curated boxes of jewelry.

I've certainly tried my fair share of subscriptions. If you've been curious about giving some a try for yourself, here are dozens of sneak peeks, reviews, and promotional offers for ones I've tried. Consider me your subscription guinea pig for the week because I have several more fun reviews coming up. Stay tuned!
