Toddler/Tot Tote Tutorial

Supplies:
*Fabric for the main part of the tote (I used pink vintage curtains.)
*Fabric for the lining
*Sewing machine
*Basic sewing supplies (scissors, pins, thread...)
*Items needed to decorate and embellish your tote (fabric paint, pieces to applique'...)
*Iron

Directions:

Sewing the Main Part of the Tote
*If you are repurposing curtains, tablecloth...
you can cut the pieces of fabric in a way that an already hemmed part is the top, so you do not have to sew a hem at the top of the tote when you arrive at this step.
I cut out a letter "L" that I appliqued to the bag and then painted the rest of my daughter's name using a stencil and fabric paint.  The stencil was made using my Cricut.

Sewing the Lining and Finishing the Tote
Now you have a finished a tote for your little tot.
(Don't you think one of these totes would be great for mom, too?)
Happy Sewing!
