Strawberry Patch Pie

Looking for a tasty treat to enjoy this evening?  Have some strawberries in the refrigerator?
 Here is a great option...
It's a pie that I refer to as Strawberry Patch Pie.  When Jennifer Rubell had it published in the 2008 June/July  issue of Domino magazine, she called it a no-bake pie guaranteed to make your house smell like a strawberry patchHow I miss the days of Domino.  Even though the magazine is no longer around, I still pull out the issue each year to make this delicious confection.
*Shortcuts:  If you want to take a shortcut or two, use already prepared crusts and store bought whipped cream instead of making your own from scratch.  But if you are like me and aren't the biggest fan of store bought whipped cream, you can mix-up some Dream Whip to use for the topping.
*Helpful Hint: The recipe always makes more pie filling than I need for two pie crusts, so I serve the extra in bowls topped with whipped cream and strawberries.
